From there she became an angel investor through Golden Seeds, where they only invest in female led companies. This led her to start delivering training to founders to ensure they provided pitch decks to meet investor expectations. She was soon hired as a contractor by International NGOs and US Embassies around the world to deliver presentations and workshops on STEM careers and entrepreneurship. From 1998 to 2012 Kathy was a director of Pacific Capital Bancorp, N.A. (NASDAQ: PCBC), a regional community bank with $6.5B in assets, where she served as Chair of the Compensation Committee and as a member of the Enterprise Risk and Governance committees.
